Lincoln Log Homes

Wild Country Interiors is proud to be a Lincoln Log International Home Distributor.

Linocln Log HomesEvery Lincoln Log home kit is laid out in three easy-to-follow steps. Choosing a Lincoln Log home kit is the perfect way to construct your home. You need little or no building experience to complete the log wall erection.

Lincoln Logs International offers log home kits pre-cut and pre-numbered along with a stack sheet for each log wall. It is a very simple process to build your own log home. The savings in building cost can also be sizeable.

Step 1: The foundation is built according to the foundation plan sent to you for your particular log kit. You choose the type of foundation . . . a pier, concrete slab, crawl space or basement.

Step 2: After the sub floor system is installed, each wall is laid log by log according to the number on the logs, corresponding with the stack sheet. You can readily recognize the precision cuts and corner assembly logs that make the log home a quality structure.

Step 3: Rafters or roof trusses (not included in kit) are erected and the sheathing and roofing are affixed. Your log kit is now "in the dry." You can proceed at your desired pace to finish the log home.

Lincoln Log International has cornered the market on quality. Lincoln Logs presents contemporary log home kit designs that combine beauty and durability with their exclusive "Weather-Lok Corners". This is only one of the many innovative differences you will find in every model. Each log is perfectly machine cut to 6" x 8", and features a routed cut at the ends for maximum beauty and protection from the weather.

Each log course is snugly joined using the "patent pending" cut. Logs are machine "v" grooved on top and bottom to accommodate a 1" diameter closed cell backer rod. Two 1" x 6" wooden dowels are placed at each butt joint. Compression of the backer rod and the installation of the dowels are leading features of our homes.

NOTE: The "v" groove does not extend beyond the log insert cut to end of the log. Many of our competitors run the groove to the end of the log and it subsequently becomes a trough for rain water to travel into the corner joint. Our technology does not allow this to happen.

We go beyond the traditional rustic log home cabin structure to create beautiful log home designs and plans that are both weather resistant and energy efficient. You may construct a Lincoln Log Home for much less than it would cost to build a stick or brick home. Additionally, your log home, when finished will be worth an average of 10% more than a stick or brick home.

At Lincoln Logs each yellow pine log is inspected and chosen to ensure uniform size which contributes to the was of construction and natural beauty. Our logs add up to six times the insulating capacity of brick of equal thickness. And remember, age enhances the the natural beauty of a Lincoln Log Home.

If you desire you can make your log home dream into a reality. Contact us today for more information.
